Ryan Ravens is the CEO of Accelerate Cape Town. With an extensive entrepreneurial background, Ryan previously played a strategic role at Blue IQ Investment Holdings which became the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency. He was also the lead project manager for the FIFA 2010 World Cup.
Gavin is the Chairman of Accelerate Cape Town. He is also the Chairman of AVI, an executive director of Coronation Investments and Trading Limited and a non-executive director of a number of other companies.
INDEPENDENT ACT DIRECTOR
Ashoek is an independent ACT Director and previously served as General Counsel at Media24. He is an attorney and has worked previously for the Western Cape Provincial Government.
Crispin is a Director and shareholder of Gamiro Holdings and CEO of Gamiro ISI (Insights: Solutions: Implementation). Until July 2014, Crispin was the Managing Director of the Retail Mass Cluster of businesses at Old Mutual. He is a member and the previous Chairperson of the Old Mutual Foundation and serves on various Boards including Foodbank South Africa, UCT GSB and Frontier Rare Earths.
Gavin is the managing partner of Webber Wentzel’s Cape Town office, serves on the firm’s management board and specialises in Insurance, Shipping & Transport law. Gavin currently chairs the Cape Chapter of the Maritime Law Association of South Africa and has 20 years of experience in the maritime legal field. He is an accomplished international speaker and chaired portions of the African Ports Evolution Conference.
John heads up the Stakeholder Management within the Santam Group of Companies. His function is to ensure that the Santam Group continues to build appropriate business relationships with material stakeholders in local, provincial and national government to ensure that the business safeguards its reputation, obtains access to new markets, and remain relevant.
Lance is the Managing Partner of KPMG Cape Region and is a member of the Firm’s National Transformation Committee.
Marius is the Office Managing Partner of Deloitte in the Western Cape. He is also responsible for Deloitte Tip-offs Anonymous – the leading whistle blowing and ethics line in Africa. He is an admitted attorney and has been involved in various projects, both in South Africa and abroad, including numerous inspections on behalf of the South African Reserve Bank.

Michael is the Vice-President of BLSA, an Executive Director of Anglo American South Africa, and is on the Board of Rothschild South Africa. Michael is also on the board of Wesgro.

Samantha is the Human Resources Director for Sub-Saharan Africa at Johnson & Johnson. Samantha has worked for a number of large and reputable organisations including Warner Lambert, Brandhouse and Distell.
Benjamin (Benji) Norman
Benji is currently the Chief Transformation Officer of Old Mutual Limited. He is a highly efficient, results driven and a capable Transformation Professional with over 20 years of progressive experience augmented by a strong tertiary background in business, people, processes and administration.
