Technology is Re-inventing the Office
October 19 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Covid-19 has forced a fundamental shift in working habits on millions of employees worldwide – if ever there was an appropriate time to use the phrase “VUCA” (volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity) it’s now.
The enforced changes brought about by the pandemic opened the eyes of both employees and business leaders to new ways of working. Globally, organisations have been presented with unique opportunities to challenge convention, adopt innovative technologies, and create bold change. According to Herman Singh, adjunct professor at the UCT GSB, and the founder and CEO of Future Advisory, Covid-19 was the killer blow for office work, but technology has turned out to be the “knight in shining armour”. With video conferencing platform, Zoom, now worth more than the world’s top seven airlines combined, the need to build virtual organisations to keep up in a VUCA world is essential.
Join us for the next episode in our Future of Work webinar series, in partnership with Africa’s leading business school, UCT Graduate School of Business, where Herman will share his views with us on the evolution of the office, the nature of work, and how this will reshape the future.
