UK Trade and Investment Delegation at the British High Commission

South Africa remains the UK’s largest trading partner in Africa and to strengthen this important trade relationship, Accelerate Cape Town, with the kind support of Norton Rose Fulbright, is delighted to invite you to meet Fiona Wolf, Lord Mayor of London; Baroness Scotland, UK’s Trade Envoy to South Africa; Judith Macgregor, the British High Commissioner; and a UK business delegation.
Alan Winde, Western Cape Minister of Agriculture, Economic Development and Tourism will give an overview of investment developments in the Western Cape and the delegation will include British businesses from financial services, business services and infrastructure sectors. The evening will be hosted at the home of the British High Commissioner and include a light supper.
Key UK Dignitaries
Fiona Woolf CBE is a British lawyer and the Lord Mayor of London for 2013-14 serving as the global ambassador for UK-based financial and business services companies. Fiona is a also a past President of the Law Society of England and Wales, and a member of the UK Competition Commission.
Baroness Scotland is a British barrister who has served in many ministerial positions within the UK Government, most notably as the Attorney General for England and Wales and Advocate General for Northern Ireland. She was appointed Prime Ministerial Trade Envoy to South Africa in November 2012.
Judith Macgregor, the British High Commissioner, was previously Britain’s ambassador to Slovakia and Mexico. She has served in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) as the First Secretary in Paris and Prague and was Migration Director at the FCO in 2007–09.
