CEO Engagement with Minister of Public Works & Infrastructure Patricia De Lille

Infrastructure projects are vital to our economic recovery due to their multiplier effect on restoring growth, creating new jobs and protecting livelihoods. In an effort to foster greater collaboration between the private sector and government, as we look to accelerate infrastructure delivery in South Africa as part of the Economic Reconstruction and Recovery Plan (ERRP), Accelerate Cape Town will host an intimate business and government engagement with Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Patricia De Lille.

Since the establishment of Infrastructure South Africa (ISA) in 2020, a number of projects, as part of the ERRP, have commenced and are in construction. This engagement will create a platform for Minister De Lille to engage regional business leaders and provide insights into ISA’s progress on bringing projects through to bankability and securing funding for pipeline projects.

There will also be an opportunity for Minister De Lille to present to the private sector on new projects in the pipeline, provide more information on the National Infrastructure Plan (NIP) 2050 and share key challenges in the infrastructure sector based on lessons learned since ISA’s launch in 2020.
