Young Leaders Dinner with Thembalihle Baloyi

Our Young Leaders Dinner Programme was launched in 2015 to provide a platform for dynamic business conversations of young professionals in Cape Town, and to understand issues impacting on transformation in the work place. The Young Leaders Dinners are specifically for our Sponsor members and are exclusive dinners for networking and debate.  The guest speaker at our next dinner is Thembalihle Baloyi.

Thembalihle is the founder and executive director of Discovery Insure Ltd, a Short-term Insurance Company launched in 2011. He joined Discovery in 2001 working on numerous initiatives where his role ultimately led to his 10-year vision launch of Discovery Insure. Thembalihle is a Member of the Board of Directors at the Institute of Insurance of South Africa; the Henley Business School Academic Board; the South African Insurance Association; and is the Deputy Chair of the South African Insurance Crime Bureau. In 2003 he co-founded Black Insurance Professionals of Southern Africa. In 2015 he was appointed by the Minister of Transport into the National Road Safety Advisory Council whose aim is to advise the Minister on combatting road fatalities in South Africa. He is also the initiator and Pretoria Chapter Chair of the mentorship programme for the Young Presidents Organisation (YPO) designed to guide high potential future leaders to achieve their career objectives.
