The private sector and government have complementary strengths and resources that, when combined, can create powerful solutions to regional challenges. The private sector has access to financial and technological resources as well as the ability to scale up solutions quickly and efficiently, while government has access to policy expertise and regulatory power that can help create an enabling environment for the private sector to invest and innovate. However, the latter cannot be achieved when we face issues like crippling power cuts and significant safety and security challenges.

To effectively address the challenges faced by our region, the private sector and government need to work together in a collaborative and co-ordinated manner. By partnering, business and government can leverage their respective strengths and together we can co-create more sustainable solutions to our challenges.
