The vision for Cape Town is to be a City of Hope for all – a prosperous, inclusive, and healthy city where people can see their hopes of a better future become a reality. However, our economy continues to be battered by a series of formidable challenges – affecting business, government, and civil society in equal part, and they are too substantial and too urgent for any sector to tackle alone.

There are obvious advantages to collaborative partnerships between all sectors – government, business, communities, and academia should be collectively focused on creating the conditions for meaningfully faster economic growth and increased regional resilience. We may not always agree, however, we share a common desire to see our economy grow and our people thrive.
